Job summary

MultiCare Rockwood Digestive Health Physician Assistant works closely with gastroenterologists to provide care for patients with IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, liver disease, and GI cancers. This role involves both clinical and hospitalist support, patient education, and administrative duties.

Required WA PA license with prescriptive authority; ACLS/ATLS/BLS certification and GI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed WA Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority
• WA State PA license required; WA DEA/NPI required
• ACLS/ATLS/BLS certification
• Digestive Health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and obtain detailed patient histories
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging, endoscopies)
• Prescribe medications under physician supervision
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
