Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Primary Care and Occupational Health services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and perform occupational health evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.).
  • Conduct fitness-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations as requested.
  • Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and illnesses with evidence-based guidelines.
  • Perform injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
  • Collaborate with client, safety teams, and physicians on case management and health programs.
  • Maintain Epic documentation accurately and timely.
  • Educate staff on clinical standards and best practices.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality Primary Care and Occupational Health services in a collaborative clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in both Primary Care (PC) and Occupational Health (OCC) and be comfortable independently managing workplace injuries, regulatory physicals, acute and chronic conditions, and employee health needs.

Primary Care and Occupational Health experience, ACLS certification, and Epic experience are required.

What You’ll Do

Provide comprehensive Primary Care and Occupational Health services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and perform required occupational health evaluations, including OSHA, DOT, CDC, and other regulatory examinations.

Conduct fitness-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations as requested.

Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using evidence-based clinical guidelines, with a focus on safe and timely return to meaningful work.

Perform clinical procedures including injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.

Develop and manage treatment plans for injured workers and collaborate with the client, TPA, and other stakeholders regarding case management.

Implement and monitor transitional and modified‑duty programs for injured employees.

Develop individualized patient care plans, monitor progress, and ensure continuity of care.

Educate patients regarding treatment plans, preventive care, health maintenance, and overall wellness.

Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests to evaluate clinical conditions and determine appropriate treatment.

Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Partner with the Medical Director, client stakeholders, and safety teams on health promotion initiatives, medical surveillance, ergonomics, workplace safety, injury prevention, and process improvement.

Conduct or participate in site visits and identify opportunities to mitigate workplace health and safety hazards.

Refer patients to physicians, specialists, or other healthcare providers when clinically appropriate.

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely patient documentation within Epic.

Educate and coach nursing staff regarding clinical standards and best practices.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenses/certifications required for the state of practice.

Current State Prescriptive Authority, as applicable.

Federal DEA registration matching the state of practice, as applicable.

Current national Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC or AANP.

Master’s Degree in Nursing. If the degree or certificate does not specifically indicate Nursing, transcripts may be required.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, primary care, and/or an emergency department setting.

Demonstrated Primary Care (PC) experience required.

Demonstrated Occupational Health (OCC) experience required.

Current BLS certification with hands‑on training through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or equivalent.

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Epic EMR experience required.

Experience evaluating and treating workplace injuries, performing return‑to‑work/fitness‑for‑duty assessments, and managing occupational health cases.

Preferred Qualifications

Occupational Health certification such as COHN, COHN‑S, or COHN‑S/CM.

Experience conducting workplace site visits and partnering with safety teams to identify and mitigate occupational hazards.

Experience with OSHA, DOT, medical surveillance, ergonomics, workers’ compensation, and injury‑prevention programs.
