Job summary

Indian Health Service is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team in an outpatient setting, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and comprehensive treatment. A recruitment/relocation sign-on bonus is provided. A REAL ID will be required starting May 7, 2025, for access to federal facilities.

The position involves potential on-call hours and rotating shifts; licensure in good standing is required, with background investigation and U.S. Citizenship prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a physician assistant educational program accredited by ARC-PA.
• Current, active license/registration as a Physician Assistant in the U.S.
• Certification by NCCPA with CME requirements satisfied as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive therapeutic and preventive health services in outpatient settings.
• Identifies and manages illnesses and preventive aspects of care.
• Orient staff, tribal members, health board and tribal leaders on relevant health care issues.
• Teach and precept other health care workers and students.
