Capital Health in Rockford, IL, seeks a Physician Assistant to provide high-quality primary and specialty care under physician supervision. The role performs histories, exams, pre/post-operative care, initiates treatments, and supports intraoperative tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).
Pay Range: $91.98 - $91.98
Examines, diagnoses and treats patients under the supervision of licensed physician. Prepares casts or splints, sutures small wounds and interprets medical tests. Prescribes medications as needed. Serves as the first line of medical care as required. Refers patients to a medical doctor or makes arrangements for transferring the patient to a hospital or clinic.
Education: Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, approved by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Experience: One year experience working with primary care management or acute care preferred.
Other Credentials: AHA ACLS-Adv Cardiac Life Supp,AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Physician Assistant License
Knowledge and Skills: Possesses strong management and leadership skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. Demonstrates knowledge of evidence-based practice to develop and implement standards of practice that guide practice improvement initiatives.
Special Training: Proficient computer skills.
