Tenet Healthcare is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic team in Tucson, AZ. This role supports timely access to care for a high-volume patient population and offers a collaborative environment with a busy practice.

The PA will perform histories and physicals, assist in the operating room, order and interpret testing, and develop comprehensive treatment plans under physician supervision. Licensure and DEA eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program and PA licensure is required.
• Certification(s) per governing board and DEA eligibility.
• Five key responsibilities include accurate patient history, physical exams, diagnoses and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Tenet Physician Resources policies and HIPAA compliance.
• Obtain and record health history; perform comprehensive physical examination.

Carondelet Medical Group is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic team in Tucson, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a busy and growing practice, supporting timely access to care for a high-volume patient population.

Responsibilities

1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
2. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
3. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
4. Obtains and records client's health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
5. Diagnoses, treats and plans appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty; refers clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required.
6. Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
7. Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
8. Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
9. Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
10. Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
11. Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
12. Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
13. Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
14. Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
15. Orders medications.
16. Other duties as assigned

Required: PA licensure; DEA eligible. Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.
