Job summary

Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to support our Vascular Surgery department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. This outpatient clinic position offers a Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 pm schedule with no call, no weekends and no OR coverage.

The vascular surgery PA or NP will join a close collaborative team of 7 vascular surgeons and 7 PA/NP's at Geisinger Medical Center.

Qualifications

• The PA must graduate from an ARC-approved PA program and be eligible or certified by NCCPA and PA State Board.
• The NP candidate must have a NP program completion and be eligible for national certification and PA licensure in PA.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient vascular surgery clinic coverage in a collaborative team.
• Join a team of 7 vascular surgeons and 7 PA/NPs at Geisinger Medical Center.
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00 with no call, weekends, or OR coverage.

Job Summary

Job Duties

This outpatient clinic position offers a Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 pm schedule with no call, no weekends and no OR coverage.

The vascular surgery PA or NP will join a close collaborative team of 7 vascular surgeons and 7 PA/NP's at Geisinger Medical Center.

Qualifications

The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of a ARC-approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
