Our Provisional Level 2 Trauma Center delivers comprehensive and specialized care for patients with traumatic injuries. The Stroke Center at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is designated by the New York State Department of Health as a Primary Stroke Center, with expert neurologists available to provide treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk has multiple outpatient sites, including an outpatient wound care center, a hemodialysis center, and various primary care and specialty offices.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Internal Medicine - Per Diem - Medical Staff Services. In this role, the successful candidate The Physician Assistant Service is dedicated to providing quality, professional, cost-effective health care to all patients at NYULH - Suffolk. Physician assistants (PA) practice medicine under the supervision of a licensed physician fulfilling a broad range of medical services that would otherwise be provided by the physician. The PA shall be permitted to provide any service within his/her scope of training/skills delegated by the supervising physician or the patients physician that has been approved by the Credentials Committee and is within the scope of practice of the physician. PAs provide care for in- and outpatients primarily in-house including, the Emergency Department, Pre-Admission Testing, the operating room, Employee Health, Psych Care, including pediatrics.
Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS, PALS) through the American Heart Association or Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics may be required based on your selected privileges.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
