Advanced Practitioner Role Scope

HHC Advanced Practitioners (APP) enjoy full scope of practice, recognition, and respect for high-quality patient care. We seek a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to lead the Urgent Care Clinics (UCC) in Southwestern Connecticut, collaborating with the Physician Medical Director, Operational Director, Regional Manager, and clinical peers. The leader will oversee AP staff performance, quality, safety, training, and education, serve as an expert and role model, and supervise AP student rotations.

Scheduling and Practice Locations

• Full-time (1.0 FTE) leadership role with at least 24 hours/week clinical practice to maintain proficiency and oversight.
• Practice locations include: Fairfield (Primary), Norwalk, Monroe, Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull, Westport, Stamford, Wilton, CT.

Qualifications

Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner / APRN in Connecticut
• Certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or similar, with leadership experience. Preference for urgent care or occupational health experience. Experience treating all ages from birth to geriatrics.
