SUNY Upstate Medical University seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Orthopedic Surgery in New York. Must be NYS licensed/registered NP or PA, have an NPI and Medicare Enrollment (or eligibility) and initial certification at hire. BLS is required.

Some OB/GYN providers may need Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification within the first month. Salary ranges from $99,000 to $165,000 annually with comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401k

Job Summary: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for Orthopedic Surgery Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present at hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
OPTIONAL: Internal candidates who are not eligible for Medicare Enrollment, but are otherwise qualified, may be considered for this position.
For OB/GYN providers: Current Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification or will obtain within first month of employment.
