  • ARC-PA, NCCPA accreditation knowledge.
  • Prescriptive authority through MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA required.

You’ll work four 10-hour shifts each week, with a combination of operating room time and independent clinic sessions. Typically, you’ll spend 1-2 days assisting in surgery and the remainder of the week managing your own clinic schedule. There are no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities.Where You’ll WorkThe primary clinic location will be in Chestnut Hill, where you’ll see patients in an outpatient setting. Surgical cases are performed primarily at New England Baptist Hospital in Mission Hill, with future opportunities to support procedures at the expanding surgical center at One Brookline Place. You’ll be part of a large, collaborative Orthopaedics APP team of approximately 20 Advanced Practice Providers spanning a wide range of subspecialties.What You’ll DoAs an Orthopaedic NP/PA, you’ll partner closely with a surgeon whose practice includes general Orthopaedics, sports-related procedures, shoulder replacement surgery, and total knee replacements. You’ll assist in the operating room and independently manage your own outpatient clinic schedule, seeing the surgeon’s patients for post-operative visits, follow-up care, evaluations, and injections. Coordinates the care of patients in order to provide safe, effective, efficient and timely patient centered care.* Liaises between visiting nurses, clinical staff and consult services. Care plans and execution of those plans should encompass the entire service to tie the service together.* Consults with physicians or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnosis.* Document clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.
