Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care offers a Fellowship program in Urgent Care Medicine, with a minimum 9-month rotation and one-on-one preceptorship. Fellows receive lectures, hands-on patient care, and mentorship from Urgent Care Clinical Faculty as part of a CUCM/UCA-accredited program.

The program is designed to develop competent, proficient and professional urgent care providers, with structured training and on-demand resources to support learners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited approved PA or FNP program.
• Physician Assistants must have active board certification with NCCPA.
• Family Nurse Practitioners must have active board certification with AANP or ANCC.
• Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state where you are applying.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Urgent Care teams under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA’s to provide care for patients in our sites.
• Examining, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries or exacerbations of chronic disease.
• Ordering evidence-based testing, prescribing medications, and referring to outside specialists as required.
• Providing occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and the treatment of Worker’s Compensation injuries.
• Performing pre-participation physicals for camps, sports and employment.
• Maintaining patient charts accurately and comprehensively.
• Documenting patient information in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

The Urgent Care Fellowship program is a minimum 9-month continuing specialty rotation that will provide enhanced clinical experience in the field of Urgent Care Medicine. The Fellow will have one on one preceptorship with the Urgent Care Clinical Faculty, will learn through hands on care of patients and receive ongoing lectures, guided by the provided didactic curriculum. Salary

75k Annual Signing Bonus of $10,000 offered for qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants!

Minimum Education and Experience

• Successful completion of an accredited approved PA or FNP program
