Job summary

Northwest Physicians Group is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to provide a full scope of specialty services at our Amarillo facilities. You will exercise independent medical judgment while collaborating with a team of clinicians and administrative staff.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to Group policies and ethical standards. Qualified candidates must hold a Texas PA license and BLS certification, with PA-C credentials, to join a network affiliated with UHS.

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with current licensure in Texas.
• Knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
• BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain.
• Ability to work within Group policies and provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

About Northwest Physicians Group formed in 2013 with a focus towards population health management. The group has grown to a network of over 40 providers serving patients at numerous primary, specialty, and urgent care locations in and around Amarillo, Texas. Northwest Physicians Group is affiliated with Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a 495-bed system acute care hospital that serves approximately 650,000 residents of the Texas Panhandle and surrounding region. The system provides acute care services including cardiac, pediatric, women’s, emergency, surgical and behavioral healthcare.

POSITION: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

As a full-time employee, Provider will provide a full scope of Specialty services to Group's patients at the Facilities. Provider shall perform all duties and services under Group's general constraints that require Provider to infringe the ethics of the medical profession, violate any law, or practice outside Provider's Specialty and experience. Provider retains the right to exercise Provider's independent medical judgement in providing care and treatment to patients. Provider shall be courteous and respectful of the rights and dignity of patients with whom he/she comes into contact and shall work cooperatively with Group's administrative staff. Provider shall abide by all Group policies and procedures, as adopted and updated from time to time. Provider shall provide services to all patients regarless of their race, sexual preference, religion, gender, or ability or inability to pay and any other class protected by law.

Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSE, TRAINING & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE)

• Certified Physican Assistant (PA-C)
• Current license or permit topractice professional nursing in the state of Texas and maintain throughout employment
• Knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rule and Regulations
• BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain throughout employment
