Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join a team of two Interventional Radiologists and one IR Physician Assistant in a state-of-the-art freestanding IR facility. Time will be split between outpatient facility and hospital setting providing care for Summit Health patients.

Interventional Radiology experience is preferred; training will be provided. No nights or weekend call. 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1-year Interventional Radiology experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Current Physician Assistant degree required.
• Current New Jersey License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.
• Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters (GU and GI).
• Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
• Perform vascular access placements and removals (PICC, Ports, tunneled lines).
• Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
• See new consults in clinic and hospital settings; arrange follow-up as necessary.

Job Description

Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to work collaboratively with a team of 2 Interventional Radiologists and 1 IR Physician Assistant. Unique opportunity to practice in a well-equipped state-of-the-art freestanding Interventional Radiology facility. Time will be split between the outpatient facility and hospital setting providing care for Summit Health patients. Interventional Radiology or Surgical experience preferred but training will be provided. Responsibilities include performing minimally invasive procedures, seeing patients in the hospital and clinic setting and participating in department quality improvement activities. No nights or weekend call. Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements

• Current Physician Assistant degree required.


• 1-year Interventional Radiology experience required; 2-4 years preferred.


• Current Physician Assistant New Jersey License required.


• BLS/ACLS certification required.


• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.


• Strong ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and with a high degree of accuracy required.

Compensation Range

$130,000 - $160,000

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures and location of position.
