Job summary

Avera is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in Yankton as part of Moving Health Forward for patients and communities. You will provide medical care across physical, psychological, and social dimensions to develop comprehensive care plans.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating patients, delivering health education to individuals and families, collaborating with the physician, and maintaining accurate patient records while upholding safety and clinical

Qualifications

• Must hold PA license and NCCPA certification.
• Licensed to practice in the state where employed.
• Experience in primary care or family medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per medical protocols.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physician to manage patient care and treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per approved protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safety practices.
• Refer patients appropriately to specialists when needed.
