Job summary

West Coast University, Inc. invites applications for a Physician Assistant Faculty member.

You will guide students through clinical education, foster an innovative and student-centered environment, and contribute to curriculum development as a respected educator and mentor. Ideal candidates will have a documented background in teaching, nursing, or physician assistant education, plus NCCPA certification or eligible for licensure.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field; experience with teaching in higher education.
Doctorate preferred for advanced teaching roles.

Responsibilities

Provides professional leadership and support, and serves as an educator, role model and facilitator.
Create an educational environment which fosters innovation, responsiveness, and accountability
Regularly contributes to improvement or upgrading of class materials and syllabi utilizing identified University processes
Utilizes a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students, always with intent to facilitate observable evidence of student fulfillment of prescribed learning outcomes.
Demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process and for individual students.
Assists with assessment, critique and evaluation of overall curriculum and may lead the process of revisions to program and syllabi (if necessary) while ensuring quality.
