Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive outpatient care with an emphasis on prevention and health promotion. You will assess and manage patient illnesses, coordinate care with a focus on rural and diverse communities, and contribute to education and outreach programs.

This role includes a recruitment/relocation sign-on bonus and requires eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant in the United States.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a physician assistant educational program accredited by ARC-PA.
• Successful completion of the NCCPA certification and maintenance of CME/recertification requirements.
• Current, active license or registration as a Physician Assistant in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient therapeutic and preventive health services.
• Identify and manage illnesses and preventive care for patients and families.
• Educate staff and community leaders on health care issues and disease prevention.
• Precept students and contribute to training of other health care workers.
