Altea Healthcare in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) for post-acute care. This part-time role requires weekend coverage and travel between two facilities, delivering hands-on medical care.

As a PA-C you will perform exams, order tests, diagnose conditions, prescribe medications, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff in skilled nursing settings. Training, mentorship, and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

• PA-C License (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain prior to start date
• All Experience Levels Welcome – Training & Mentorship Available!
• Passion for geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with a patient-first approach

Responsibilities

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
