Job summary

Altea Healthcare in Ohio is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) for post-acute care in a skilled nursing setting. The role is part-time with a weekend schedule and travel between two facilities in Toledo and Oregon, OH.

We welcome both experienced providers and new grads and offer training, mentorship, and a collaborative team environment. The PA-C will diagnose, treat, and guide patients toward better health, with a focus on geriatric and primary care needs.

Qualifications

• Must have post-acute care experience.
• PA-C License (or eligibility to obtain).
• Weekend schedule with travel between Toledo and Oregon, OH facilities.
• Training, mentorship and support available for success in post-acute care.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and create treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

As a PA-C, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
