Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens role in vascular surgery. The selected candidate will work within a hospital-based surgical team on complex vascular cases, performing assessments, perioperative care, and collaborative treatment planning in an inpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has cardiovascular or vascular surgery experience, current NCCPA certification, BLS, ACLS, and the ability to meet credentialing

Qualifications

• NP or PA with cardiovascular/vascular or surgical experience.
• Experience in inpatient vascular surgery and perioperative care preferred.
• NCCPA or state-appropriate certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and daily rounds.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with the attending surgeon.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative vascular surgery patients.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and procedures.
• Coordinate care with nursing and ancillary services.

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with cardiovascular, vascular, critical care, or surgical experience for a long-term locum tenens opportunity with a respected hospital-based surgical team.

This position offers a consistent schedule, a collaborative practice environment, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team caring for complex vascular surgery patients in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities
