Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
• NCCPA certified or eligible
• Licensed or eligible for TX PA licensure
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Less than 1 year of experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Patient Volume: Approximately 16–17 patients per day

Position Overview

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our outpatient cardiology team serving Waxahachie, TX. This role focuses on general cardiology in a clinic-based setting and offers a predictable weekday schedule with minimal weekend responsibility. New graduates are welcome to apply, though prior cardiology experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care for general cardiology patients
• Perform patient evaluations, follow-ups, and ongoing disease management
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Document care plans and coordinate patient services
• Participate in infrequent weekend rounding rotation

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• No call requirements for APPs
• Weekend rounding approximately one weekend every 2–3 months

Qualifications
