Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our established Orthopedic Sports Medicine team in Douglasville, GA. You will work alongside the physician in the clinic, round on inpatients, see consults, and assist in the operating room as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified physician assistant with orthopedics, sports medicine or related experience.
• Experience in sports-related injuries and rehabilitation is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with Orthopedic Sports Medicine physician in the clinic.
• Inpatient rounding on patients and consults; assist in the OR.
• Manage own clinic patients as readiness develops.

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our established, busy Orthopedic practice in Douglasville, GA, just 25 minutes west of Atlanta.

Physician Assistant will be responsible for working alongside our Orthopedic Sports Medicine physician in the clinic, inpatient rounding on patients and seeing consults as well as assisting in the OR as needed. PA will also see their own clinic patients eventually when ready. Current practice is primarily sports medicine, but will evolve over time to also have some total joints and other general orthopedic patients as the practice grows.

Ideal candidates must be certified physician assistants preferably with some experience in orthopedics, athletic training, sports medicine etc.
