Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Douglasville, GA, seeks a Certified Physician Assistant to join a busy Orthopedic Sports Medicine practice. You will work closely with the orthopedic physician in the clinic, participate in inpatient rounds and consults, and assist in the OR as needed.

The role will evolve to include more total joints and general orthopedic patients as the practice grows. Ideal candidates are certified PAs with some orthopedic, athletic training, or sports medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Physician Assistant with experience in orthopedics, athletic training, or sports medicine preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic sports medicine is valued as the practice focuses on sports-related injuries and care.
• Currently focused on sports medicine with expansion into total joints and general orthopedic patients as the practice grows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Orthopedic Sports Medicine physician in the clinic.
• Rounding inpatients and evaluating consults; assist in the operating room as needed.
• Develop own clinic patients as experience grows and manage routine orthopedic care.

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our established, busy Orthopedic practice in Douglasville, GA, just 25 minutes west of Atlanta.

Physician Assistant will be responsible for working alongside our Orthopedic Sports Medicine physician in the clinic, inpatient rounding on patients and seeing consults as well as assisting in the OR as needed. PA will also see their own clinic patients eventually when ready. Current practice is primarily sports medicine, but will evolve over time to also have some total joints and other general orthopedic patients as the practice grows.

Ideal candidates must be certified physician assistants preferably with some experience in orthopedics, athletic training, sports medicine etc.
