Job summary

Premier Pediatrics in the Village of Pomona, NY is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team. You will examine patients, take histories, interpret tests, and collaborate with physicians to implement treatment plans in a patient-centered setting.

The ideal candidate has bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will read diagnostic tests, explain results, and prescribe therapy with physician oversight.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensing is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records.
• Read test results, interpret data appropriately, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results.
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes.
• Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan.
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan.
