Job summary

Navista, in partnership with cCARE and Cardinal Health, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in a California office. You will assess, diagnose, manage treatments, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality cancer care locally.

The role requires a Master’s degree in NP/PA studies, CA licensure, NCCPA certification, and DEA license, with 3+ years in urology or critical care preferred. Competitive salary and robust benefits offered.

• Graduate of ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Studies program.
• NCCPA board certified.
• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in office consultations, including assessment, work-ups, triage, emergency work-ins, and other patient care activities.
• Obtains and documents health history, performs and documents physical exam, and orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Provides counseling to patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatment.
• Collaborates with physician(s) to provide appropriate direct care interventions within scope of practice.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals according to patient needs and conducts appropriate patient follow-up & outreach.
• Ensures timely retrieval of laboratory and ancillary studies and diagnostic consultation reports.
• Consults with appropriate internal and external staff to make appropriate referrals for acute, chronic and preventive care.

What We Offer Compensation

Anticipated salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 per year. The salary range listed is an estimate and is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity. Bonus eligible: No

Major Responsibilities

Collects, organizes, records, and discusses data as appropriate and uses sound clinical judgment based in best practice standards and evidenced based medicine. Prescribes pharmaceuticals according to patient needs and conducts appropriate patient follow‑up & outreach. Ensures timely retrieval of laboratory and ancillary studies and diagnostic consultation reports. Consults with appropriate internal and external staff to make appropriate referrals for acute, chronic and preventive care.

Basic Education, Experience and Skills Required for Consideration

Master's Degree as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Studies. Urology and/or Critical Care experience 3+ years (preferred). EMR / computer skills. Required Certification/Licensure (for PAs). Ability to work a flexible schedule (including hospital call and rounding within the team structured scheduling). Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Studies program. NCCPA board certified. Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California. Current DEA controlled substance licenses.
