Job summary

The Florida Institute of Neurology (FION) seeks a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or APRN to join our neurology team, providing in-office and optional hospital-based patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Full-time positions are available across Dr. Phillips, St. Cloud, Kissimmee, Winter Garden, Oviedo, and Four Corners, with travel within county locations. Competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities to work with experienced neurologists are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be U.S.-trained.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or APRN program.
• Active and unrestricted Florida PA or APRN license, or ability to obtain.
• Current PA-C/APRN certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (neurology or internal medicine preferred).
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to travel within county locations as needed.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus.
• New graduates with a strong interest in neurology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and physical examinations.
• Obtain and review patient histories and medical records.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of neurological conditions.
• Order diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT, EEG, and EMG.
• Assist supervising neurologists in patient management and care planning.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with neurologists, medical staff, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Manage a full daily patient schedule.
• Optional for Extra Pay: Participate in inpatient neurology rounds at designated hospitals.

This role involves providing both in-office and Optional hospital-based (For Extra Pay) patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Work Schedule - Travel

• Full-time: 5 weekday shifts per week
