Job summary

Olean General Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant – Hospitalist for a day position, onsite in Olean, NY. The PA will provide care to adult patients in a hospitalist setting, collaborate with MDs, and support health promotion and education for patients and families.

Qualified candidates hold an MS in Physician Assistant studies, NY/PA PA licensure, BLS, and ideally 3+ years of PA experience. The schedule is Monday–Friday, with no weekends or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master of Science degree.
• Certified as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York or Pennsylvania.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physician Assistant (preferred).
• Ability to remain composed and effective under stress, in emergency situations, and while handling multiple priorities.

Overview

The physician assistant will provide health care services to adult patients including health promotion, care for acute and chronic phases of illness, patient and family education and counseling, and refer patients to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate, according to evidence‑based practice protocols in collaboration with a licensed M.D.

Compensation & Benefits

• Bi‑weekly pay.
• Salary range: $46.15 – $66.67 per hour (wage determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity).
