Job summary

ProHealth Partners in Long Beach, CA seeks a Physician Assistant to support its Otolaryngology (ENT) clinic. The role offers full-time or part-time direct hire with a strong emphasis on patient care and ENT-specific procedures.

The PA will work under the supervision of an ENT physician, handle evaluations, order tests, and develop treatment plans. DEA and BLS/ACLS are required, with at least 1 year in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Physician's Assistant Program.
• DEA License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/ACLS).
• At least 1 year of experience in clinical setting.
• Experience in Otolaryngology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of an ENT physician, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ear, nose, and throat conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, assessing symptoms, and documenting findings.
• Diagnose and manage common ENT conditions, including ear infections, sinusitis, allergies, hearing disorders, tonsillitis, and other ENT-related conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient treatment plans with the supervising physician.
• Perform in-office ENT procedures within the scope of practice, such as cerumen removal and nasal examinations.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, audiograms.
• Prescribe medications and recommend treatment options per protocols and regulations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and additional services as needed.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to support our Otolaryngology (ENT) clinic in Long Beach, CA.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Direct hire

Pay Range: $75-$100/hr

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of an ENT physician, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ear, nose, and throat conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, assessing symptoms, and documenting findings.
• Diagnose and manage common ENT conditions, including ear infections, sinusitis, allergies, hearing disorders, tonsillitis, and other acute or chronic ENT-related conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
• Perform in-office ENT procedures within the scope of practice, such as cerumen removal, nasal examinations, and other minor procedures as appropriate.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging studies, audiograms, and other ENT-related evaluations.
• Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate treatment options in accordance with established clinical protocols and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate referrals, specialty consultations, follow-up appointments, and additional therapeutic services as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and post-procedure instructions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical findings in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Requirements:

• Graduate from a Physician's Assistant Program
• Experience in Otolaryngology is a plus
• DEA License
• Basic Life Support (BLS/ACLS)
• At least 1 year of experience in clinical setting
