Qualifications

  • Certification as an APRN, NP, or PA (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and apply learned concepts in real-world scenarios.
  • Competency in relevant medical calculations.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-stress or emergency situations and during irregular hours.
  • Compliance with HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain complete medical histories and perform physical exams.
  • Review and interpret patient records to determine diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
  • Establish presumptive diagnoses and order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and medications; suture wounds; and prepare prescription orders.
  • Provide patient education and treatment instructions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
  • Address patient concerns promptly and thoroughly, demonstrating ownership and a problem-solving mindset.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling may be required. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
