Job summary

New Life Surgery in Fountain Valley, CA seeks a Physician Assistant to join our surgical team. You will assist in clinic and in the operating room, supporting two surgeons and collaborative care with PA/NP staff.

You will take patient histories, read diagnostic tests, interpret data, and explain test results and diagnoses. The role includes assisting in General and Bariatric cases, with pre- and post-op follow-up. Training is provided for graduates and licensing is required.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not required; full training provided to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR for General and Bariatric Surgery cases.
• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart important medical data.
• Read test results, interpret data, and provide diagnostic suggestions based on results.
• Explain test results and health outcomes to patients.
• Prescribe medication or therapy with physician oversight as part of a health plan.
• Collaborate with nurses, other PAs and physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! As a Physician Assistant, you will be expected to help in Clinic & in Operating room. Visit our IG @newlifesurgery_ to understand better the practice. We currently have two Surgeons and Two PA/NP-RNFA

1) In Clinic you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval.

2) In Operating Room, you will be assisting General and Bariatric Surgery cases. Also help in Pre and Post op follow up.

The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR for General and Bariatric Surgery Cases.
• Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records
• Read test results, interpret data appropriately, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results
• Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes
• Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan
• Work closely with nurses, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to formulate a full, comprehensive treatment plan

Qualifications

Experience is preferred but NOT required. Will Provide full training to new graduates.
