Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Physician Assistants to join as independent contractors providing health readiness services to military members. The role emphasizes weekend work with some weekday duties, across the United States, including remote military installations. Supervising physician rules may vary by state; active PA license and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Supervisor may be required depending on state requirements.
• Active PA license in the state is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high volume workloads.
• Able to work extended hours and travel to remote locations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Not Required - diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview service members to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in medical records using a proprietary system.

Job description

Attention all Physician Assistants, we are calling you to partner with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of _________ on an "as needed basis".

Requirements

Under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) we provide health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements to maintain a deployable military force for the following:

• U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
• Army National Guard (ARNG)
• U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR)
• U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)
• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)
• Air National Guard (ANG)
• U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR)

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.

Requirements
