Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Physician Assistants to join as independent contractors providing services to military service members in California, primarily on weekends with some weekdays as needed. You will review records, interview personnel, and document readiness classifications using a proprietary system while supporting health assessments across remote installations.

The role requires active PA licensure in CA, CPR/BLS, and flexibility to travel and work extended hours in various locations.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in the state.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services - preferred.
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology - preferred.
• Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily.
• Able to work extended hours.
• Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations.
• Able to travel, with weekend availability - preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications.

Attention all Physician Assistants, we are calling you to partner with us as independent contractors providing services to our Military Service members.

We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of California on an "as needed basis".

• U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR)

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
