Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Alexander City, Alabama, is hiring a full-time Physician Assistant to join our clinic. You will provide patient-focused urgent and primary medical care, including telemedicine and occupational medicine, with onboarding and ongoing support.

Early-career PAs welcomed; on-site orientation and team-based decision making are provided. Responsibilities include diagnosing common illnesses, performing minor procedures, suturing, splinting, dermatology and eye assessments, EKG

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant Board Certification required.
• MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly).
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (cost covered).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries in urgent and primary care settings.
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, suturing, etc.).
• Suture, splint, and assess orthopedic and dermatologic concerns.
• Review X‑rays and coordinate care with radiology.
• Provide telemedicine services and occupational medicine care.

Exciting Full‑Time Physician Assistant Opportunity in Alexander City, Alabama!

MainStreet Family Care is growing and we are looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full time. You will provide patient‑focused care to help our patients feel better fast. Services provided to the public include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine.

We welcome early‑career PAs, including brand‑new grads. Following on‑site orientation and training you will work alongside experienced providers in one clinic. We also offer ongoing support such as a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and an NP on‑call to assist clinical decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues
• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Suturing
• Splinting
• General orthopedic evaluations/management
• Review x‑rays (to be over‑read by radiologist)
• General dermatology
• General eye problems
• General EKG interpretations
• Emergency management skills
• General GYN expertise
• Treat children of all ages
• Occupational medicine
• Telemedicine

Schedule

MainStreet Clinic Hours: Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend, sample below:

• Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON).
• Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).
