Job summary

Dignity Health – St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Physician Advisor to promote evidence-based care and efficient resource utilization, coordinating with the Medical Staff and Administration.

You will report to the Chief Medical Officer, support Care Coordination initiatives, and engage in performance metrics. Must hold CA MD/DO license. Relocation assistance available for eligible hires and a competitive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of acute-care Care Coordination.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote evidence-based standards of medical care and appropriate utilization of hospital resources.
• Advocate for best and most efficient care for patients and remove barriers to care; collaborate with attending physicians.
• Foster collaboration between Care Coordination, Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, and Administration on systems-based practice and regulatory quality considerations.
• Report to the Chief Medical Officer and participate in annual performance evaluations using hospital metrics.
