Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Physician Advisor to optimize inpatient and observation care, review LOC/LOS, and support care coordination through CDI activities. You will engage physicians, participate in policy reviews, and lead system‑wide infection control programs aligned with Trinity Health and local leadership.

You will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to revenue excellence through peer reviews and appeals work with payers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• 3- to 5-line description not exceeding 140 chars each.
• Completion of specialty residency in Internal or Emergency Medicine.
• Current Maryland medical license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Optimize inpatient/observation care and LOC/LOS management.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and CDI activities.
• Lead care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support utilization review and discharge planning.
• Conduct peer reviews and appeals support with payers.
