Position Summary

Position Summary / Career Interest: Physician - Gastroenterology: Transplant Hepatologist The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is seeking a dedicated Transplant Hepatologist to join our academic department committed to advancing gastroenterology and hepatology through cutting-edge technology, collaborative research, and outstanding patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a tertiary care setting while actively contributing to medical student, resident, and fellow education, clinical research, and multidisciplinary patient care. The ideal candidate will join a supportive, collegial department that values clinical excellence, innovation, education, and work-life balance, with the resources and flexibility to support both professional growth and personal well-being.

Key Position Highlights

• Manage all aspects of liver disease.
• Essential functions include upper endoscopy procedure, colonoscopy, liver biopsies, as well as patient visits in the outpatient clinic and providing inpatient consultative services.
• Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Engage in clinical or basic science research.

Gastroenterology team comprised of 15 Gastroenterologists, 6 Transplant Hepatologists, 3 IBD Faculty and 22 APPs. 12 Endoscopy suites - and planning for additional rooms with current expansion. Participate in educational conferences.
