Job summary

Qualifications

  • Current U.S. state medical license and Federal DEA license.
  • Completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a primary care physician.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to patients’ medical problems by reviewing history, performing examinations, diagnosing, treating, counseling and referring as needed.
  • Order lab tests and interpret results.
  • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
  • Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information like exams and reports.
  • Explain procedures or treatments to patients and answer questions.
  • Coordinate with community physicians and hospitals as required.
  • Promote patient education in collaboration with health professionals.
  • Discuss and evaluate new medicines with pharmaceutical reps.
  • Stay updated on medical developments, treatments and medications.
  • Teach at hospitals or medical schools and mentor trainees.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Respond to patients’ medical problems by referring to their history, carrying out diagnosis, treatment, counseling and referral, where necessary.
  • Order lab tests and interpret the test results.
  • Always maintain confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history and reports.
  • Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients.
  • Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
  • Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals.
  • Discuss and evaluate new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives.
  • Keep up to date with medical developments, treatment and medication.
  • Teach at hospitals and medical schools and observe and assess the work of trainee doctors and medical students.
