Role Description

The Medical Doctor will provide direct patient care in an on-site, full-time role based in Poway, CA. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient consultations, performing physical examinations, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans. The physician will order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with specialists and other members of the care team. The role also includes maintaining accurate and timely medical records, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements. The physician is expected to contribute to a collaborative work environment, support patient education, and promote preventive health practices.

Qualifications

• Valid MD or DO degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited residency program in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, or obstetrics and gynecology.


• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of California and eligibility for or current board certification in the relevant specialty.


• Demonstrated clinical competency in diagnosing, treating, and managing a broad range of primary care conditions, with strong physical examination and clinical decision-making skills.


• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, advanced practice clinicians, and allied health professionals, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain medical information clearly, build trust with patients and families, and work with diverse populations.


• Proficiency in using electronic health records and related clinical systems, with strong documentation and organizational skills.


• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in quality and safety initiatives; willingness to follow institutional policies and regulatory standards.


• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS certification preferred depending on patient population.


• Prior experience in an outpatient or primary care setting is preferred; experience in group practice or integrated health systems is a plus.
