Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in McKenzie, TN is seeking wound care physicians to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a true Monday–Friday schedule with no nights and no weekends, plus opportunities to perform debridement and bedside procedures.

You will treat chronic and complex wounds, using advanced dressings and protocols, while receiving full training and support to practice autonomously in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted license in the practicing state.
• DEA license or eligibility.
• Residency completed; board certification or eligibility not required.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborate with SNF teams to monitor healing and follow patients through care.

Wound Care Physician Salary & Compensation

• Average Annual Earnings: 200,000-250,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $300,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Wound Care Physician Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
