Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital in Houston is seeking an OB/GYN physician to join a community-based practice backed by a strong referral network. The practice performs deliveries at the Texas Children's Pavilion for Women and collaborates with renowned maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology specialists.

The physician will manage a five-day clinic schedule, provide deliveries, participate in robotic surgery, and teach residents. 24/7 hospitalist call coverage supports continuous care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
• Evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Interest in contributing to a growing women's health program.

Responsibilities

• Clinic schedule of five days a week with a large patient load.
• Anticipated deliveries each month; access to OR with Da Vinci robotic surgery suite.
• 100% clinical position with potential to teach residents on inpatient service.
• Voluntary faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine.
• Opportunity for growth with high patient demand (250–300 new patient appointment requests per month).
• Integrated OB/GYN Hospitalist call coverage with 24/7 coverage and weekend calls.

Clinical Services

Women's Specialists of Houston provides comprehensive women's healthcare services including:

• Obstetrical care and delivery
• Well-woman preventive care
• Gynecologic evaluations and treatment
• Contraceptive counseling and management
• Treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and menstrual disorders
• Minimally invasive gynecologic procedures

Responsibilities

• Clinical Responsibilities:
• Clinic schedule of five days a week with an average case load of 200 – 210 patients per month
• Anticipated deliveries of 20 – 22 per month
• O.R. time is available and the hospital has a Da Vinci gynecologic robotic surgery suite
• 100% clinical position with opportunity to work with residents on the inpatient service
• Voluntary faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine
• Ample opportunity for growth with average of 250-300 new patient appointment requests per mont
• Integrated Call Coverage:
• Dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist service provides 24/7 call coverage for the group
• Physician will provide call coverage 1 of 11 weekends from 8AM Friday – 8AM Monday
