Job summary

Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system.
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.
• Managing medication.
• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated.
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment.
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards.
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews.

Requirements

• If chosen for position TB (Less than 30 days old) and Drug screen (HireRight - NDOT 9 Panel Drug Test w/eCOC-3.0) must be uploaded prior to start.
• Screenings must be initiated within 48 hrs. of accepting the offer.
• No cell phones permitted until proper paperwork has been submitted and approved. Must clear a metal detector, no cans, tobacco, vapes, etc. permitted. Food/drinks must be in clear see through containers. No more than 1 gallon of water permitted to be brought into the facility.
• Searching for a physician who is board‑eligible or board‑certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to provide on‑site services on a full‑time basis to the male population at this “reception” prison.
• Schedule is weekdays, no evenings, weekends.
• Compensation – $140.00 an hour / 40 hrs. a week.
• Duration – at least 6 months from projected start date. Hours/Week – 40. Start Time – 8:00 AM. End Time – 5:00 PM. Minimum Education Level – Doctoral Degree.
