It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40**JOB SUMMARY:**Provides leadership and medical direction for the Palliative Care Department and staff. Providers input in the development of standards of care. Acts as a liaison between Palliative Care Department and STHS Medical staff.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine with no restrictions. Must be a staff physician of St. Tammany Health System. Palliative Care Fellowship completed, Board Certified Palliative Care Physician preferred.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. ACLS and/or PALS is preferred.Must have a valid and current state issued driver’s license. Must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
