Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible and licensed to practice medicine in GA.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Experience with suturing and drainage of abscesses.
  • Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
  • BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
  • Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.
  • Strong communication with patients and families and other staff.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with resource management for patients (adults and children).
  • Deliver the service standard and highest patient satisfaction at all times.
  • Provide patient care within the clinical area in accordance with Piedmont Urgent Care policies.
  • Serve as a resource for patient/family and staff.
  • Document all services and maintain records accurately.
  • Complete documentation and ensure communication to facilitate care and reimbursement.
  • Participate in meetings and activities to support operations of urgent care.
  • Maintain professional development and certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS) as required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
  • Our Talented Physicians plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management to patients, both adults and children
  • Adheres to the service and courtesy standard of Piedmont Urgent Care by delivering the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times
  • Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Piedmont Urgent Care policies and procedures
  • Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff
  • Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner
  • Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement
  • Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care
  • Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned
  • This position will report to the Regional Medical Director (RMD)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
  • Current DEA registration
  • Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
  • Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
  • BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
  • Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
