Innovations Academy, part of the Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System in Streamwood, IL, is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher to provide physical education, health programming, and IEP-driven instruction for students with developmental and emotional disabilities.

The ideal candidate will hold an LBS1 endorsement (required), have 1–3 years in a therapeutic day school, and be able to organize recreational events, supervise paraprofessionals, and help students reach their educational

innovations Academy is looking for a dynamic Special Education Teacher to join our team! Under the direction of the Principal, the Physical Education Teacher provides physical fitness training and health related programming to students with developmental and emotional disabilities. The Physical Education Teacher must be able to implement appropriate IEP goals, organize school recreational events and promote programming that will enable the students to reach their fullest educational potential while rebuilding their self-esteem. The ability to teach health and driver's education (classroom only) is preferred in order to provide credit opportunities for our students. This position may supervise the paraprofessional aides who accompany the students to the gymnasium.

Qualifications
