Job summary

Benchmark Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, LLC in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. This unlicensed associate works under the supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist to support patient care.

You will prepare treatment spaces, assist with prescribed exercises and document patient responses, perform basic treatments, and handle administrative tasks such as intake and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational detail and ability to multitask are expected.
• Proficient with computers and learning new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing equipment and treatment areas for patient use.
• Assisting and/or observing patients perform prescribed therapy exercises and documenting patient responses.
• Performing basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads as instructed.
• Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, and changing/ Laundering linens.
• Performing administrative tasks, including patient intake, answering calls and scheduling appointments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What is a Technician in a Physical Therapy Clinic?

• The Technician is an unlicensed associate who works under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• The technician works in the clinic in accordance with state Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Practice Acts and company policy and procedures.
