Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
• Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
• Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Provide specific treatment only as directed by the staff physical therapist.
• Monitor vital signs.
• Communicate changes in condition to staff physical therapist or other facility personnel as appropriate.
• Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly.
• Interact professionally with guests/family and involve them in the plan of care.
• Prepare and clean treatment area for guest use. Perform final cleaning at close of day.
• Record treatment/service revisions in accordance with department policy.
• Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and ability to function under stressful situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
