• Obtains equipment, materials and supplies and prepares them for use.
• Maintains the department in a clean and orderly condition.

Position: Tech - Physical Therapy Tech

POSITION SUMMARY: The staff Tech - Physical Therapy functions under the direct supervision of the director,supervisor, physical medicine lead, staff therapists, and assistants and when appropriate through a lead technician. The Tech- Physical Therapy is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurementof inventory of supplies, transporting, positioning and, in general, assisting patients, therapists and assistants in the successful completion of the treatment plan. The technician may also be assigned routine clerical support tasks to support the patient care process.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Transports patients to and from Physical Medicine.

• Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant other and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care.

• Maintains the department in a clean and orderly conditions.

Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment

• Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
