Job summary

UW Medical Center – Northwest is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to support therapists and help patients prepare for therapy in a busy rehabilitation setting in Seattle. You will assist with preparations, maintain treatment areas, and transport patients as needed under supervision.

This full-time, day-shift role requires a high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills. Prior PT department experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Able to interact effectively with the public.
• Demonstrates knowledge of proper body mechanics and lifting techniques.
• Able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains department equipment and treatment areas.
• Transports patients to physical therapy and assists during treatment.
• Assists therapists with gait, balance, and transfer training.
• Performs general office procedures and documents daily notes.
