Job summary

Excelin Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Hallettsville area team in Texas. The role involves delivering direct physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in alignment with the physician's plan of care.

You will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and the use of assistive devices. The ideal candidate holds an accredited PTA degree, current CPR certification, and a state license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate’s degree.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements and is in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy under the direction of the physical therapist and physician’s plan of care.
• Treats patients to relieve pain, restore function and maintain maximum performance.
• Assists patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
• Implements and adjusts physical therapy modalities as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Maintains patient documentation and reports changes in condition to the supervising therapist.
