Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans and maintaining patient care productivity. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

You will participate in continuing education, mentor new staff, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Must be competent in use of computer for documentation and charging purposes.
• Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
• Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statutes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient care productivity and implement treatment plans established by licensed Physical Therapists.
• Delegate authority Rehab technicians.
• Complete documentation according to regulations and in a timely manner.
• Mentor for new employees.
• Serve as clinical instructor after one year of experience as a clinician.
• Coordinate patient treatment schedule with other PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, and rehab technicians.
