Virtua is hiring Full-Time and Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistants across our 30 outpatient locations in South Jersey. You will be part of a team of 200+ rehab professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and helping each other grow.

Minimum of Physical Therapy Assistant Associate degree from an APTA-accredited program with current New Jersey licensure and CPR certification. We offer education, mentorship, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical and therapy staff to provide quality patient care and assist workflow.
• Provides physical therapy interventions per the plan of care and gives feedback to the PT.
• Maintains patient records and documentation in a timely, compliant manner.
• Utilizes aides and support staff effectively.
• Educates patients and families according to age and cultural needs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Consults with medical, ancillary professionals and other team members/supervisors to provide optimum quality patient care and effective operations.
• Provides physical therapy interventions consistent with the plan of care and continuously provides input and direct feedback to the physical therapist relative to the patient’s treatment and status.
• Maintains and completes patient records, reports and all written documentation effectively and in a timely manner, in accordance with regulatory and department guidelines.
• Effectively utilizes aides and other support staff as appropriate.
• Effectively communicates with patient and/or family/significant other in providing education and literature in accordance with the patient’s age, physical condition and cultural needs.

Required Education:

Minimum of Physical Therapy Assistant Associate degree from a program accredited by the APTA.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

Current licensure in the State of New Jersey. CPR certification.

#RD_P1 Hourly Rate: $37.50
